With the ever growing popularity of soccer among kids, Top Gun has come up with a way to tap into this popular trend. The new Big Kick Soccer cages use the same dependable technology as commercial batting cages to throw and collect the soccer balls.
Smaller than a batting cage, the Big Kick Soccer cage are 8 to 10 feet wide by 40 to 50 feet deep per station. The distance from the machine to the kicking station is from 33 to 40 feet depending on where the player stands. The object is to stop the ball with your feet and return the kick as if kicking a goal. A ball is thrown to the player every 6 to 8 seconds automatically. It can be skipped along the ground or thrown in the air a few inches off the ground. Each cage can be set differently to give players of varying skill levels practice time.
Adding the digital audio and goalie to the cage provides a visual element that increases player participation. It declares "goal" every time you score. Other shots say "blocked" and "out of bounds". |
